Handling a Basic Stamp II from an Ethernet network.
Description:
With this project we will be able to control our Basic Stamp II, from anywhere in the world via internet.
The elements necessary to achieve them are the following:
- A Basic Stamp II.
- A printed circuit board testing.
- Serial to USB converter.
- A print server RJ45 to USB.

Our testing printed circuit must have a supply for the BS2 and a serial output for the microcontroller to communicate with a computer.
Also in this circuit have several components to test management on different pins on the BS2, such as a buzzer, LEDs, push buttons and an LCD display.

The power supply must provide a voltage of 9 volts, and we recommend that are stabilized.
With a USB to Serial RS232 connection will have needed to manage our micro controller.
We can find several models on the market or we can use Parallax's own (visit their website to see its price and features).
A print server provides easy connection to your internal network IP where we set a range of our LAN.
Once set up, install all necessary drivers for your computer detects the USB adapter us and we will make the connection of all components.

Finally we will open the Basic Stamp 2 editor and configure the port that we will be detected and the program for the management and programming our microcontroller.
Once all this work and we can configure our router to access the BS2 from wherever we want.
